The Manchester Evening News Schools awards were back for 2022 to highlight the incredible work being done in schools across Greater Manchester. Teachers, students and schools alike demonstrate an outstanding commitment to education, including improving the quality of learning and making school a place in which everyone can achieve their full potential – and this year is no different.
An abundance of nominations was received, detailing accomplishments across a range of categories from a school dedicated to student welfare to a teacher who goes above and beyond for their students. Among these nominations was our very own Mrs Hough from The Ferns Primary Academy, who was nominated for School Support Staff of the Year.
Mrs Hough made her way to the finals, which were held on 8 July 2022. Students, teachers and staff from schools across the city came together to celebrate. The awards were held with the help of headline sponsor One Education and hosted by actress Jessica Fox. An atmosphere of excitement and positivity swept across the room and the event went on.
Whilst Mrs Hough did not win, the Trust and The Ferns Primary Academy are still immensely proud. Mrs Hough is a wonderful example of our NET values and the commitment, hard work and passion that is shown to our students, enabling them to flourish, grow and achieve. Congratulations Mrs Hough.
