Enrichment/Clubs

The academy enriches teaching and learning with a wide range of activities, clubs, and visits throughout the school year. Learning is enriched through visits to places of worship, places of historical significance, geography field trips or cultural visits to theatres and art galleries. The curriculum is also enriched through clubs during and after the school day. Clubs include maths and English enrichment, art club, sewing club and a range of sports clubs. Participation in enrichment clubs is high and we encourage children to ‘find their passion’ and develop their interests further.

The academy also offers enrichment o children who have been identified as gifted and talented. They have the opportunity to explore their subject at greater depth. Children within the academy also have the opportunity to experiences outdoor adventure either off or on site. Our visits have included canoeing, kayaking, mountain climbing, and den building.
