We are delighted to see that the Zebra crossing is almost complete after many years of parents and staff fighting for this to go ahead.
The road closure 18mth trial begins on 14th September and will make entrance much safer for children walking and riding bikes to the academy and Harper ...Green School.
The black pedestrian gate into our car park will be open for families to enter to provide a safer option rather than walking along the busy Plodder Lane road.
Please see the letter sent via MCAS for safe suggestions around parking and dropping off.
Remember that stopping, parking or dropping off children directly outside school is not (and never has been) an option due to the no stopping signs between the hours of 8am and 6pm along with double yellow lines.
This measure is in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.

New traffic measures have been brought in where people have “regularly reported seeing speeders” along a major road.

Please see below an overview of our uniform expectations for all children. Year 6 have a separate page.
The uniform policy was sent out before the holidays and a copy can be found on the academy website.
We hope this provides extra clarity so there are no surprises or misunderstandings... when we return later this week.
Please note:
🌿 Black trainers or black plimsolls for PE footwear only
🌿 All children Y1-Y6 get changed for PE in school for hygiene reasons (Reception can wear PE clothes on PE day then work towards changing at a later date as part of their life skills).
🌿 PE days will be sent out on 1st September once confirmed. These will be the days set for the year rather than changing half termly.
🌿 Earrings (including plastic holders) are not permitted.
Please enjoy the rest of the week, and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
