During Sepember 2019, The Ferns Academy became a donation hub for Urban Outreach, helping to collect, organise and distribute items to the local community food bank.  Urban Outreach is a local charity in Bolton, which provides a person-centred approach to support some of the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and complex adults and young people in the area.

The academy was overwhelmed with the first collection, which included over one hundred food items and fifty hygiene products.  The children were extremely excited with how much was collected, and were really proud to hand over the donations.

As the amount donated the first time was so overwhelmingly generous, the academy will continue to be an Urban Outreach partner, and will take an active part in their Christmas Dinner project.
