Northern Education Trust is immensely proud to announce The Ferns Primary Academy Principal, Danielle Broadbent, has won the She Inspires ‘Women in Leadership’ Award at their award ceremony on 25 November 2021.

The Inspire Awards shine a light on Champions of Change and unsung SHEros and Heroes in all sectors of community, enterprise and business. The awards celebrate the huge wealth of outstanding contributions that women are making to Bolton and the wider North West region.  The ‘Women in Leadership’ Award specifically recognises the hard work of running an organisation, leading and inspiring a team and the constant innovation required to sustain and grow such an organisation. Winning the ‘Women in Leadership’ Award celebrates Danielle’s ability to handle the challenges her role as Principal entails and the success she has had.

Danielle said, “As a dedicated and passionate Principal in a community that has stolen my heart I am honoured to have won this award. I’ve always said that if I can make a positive difference to just one person in the course of my day at work, then I should be proud of that. I am inspired everyday by the people that I work with – an amazing team of teachers and support staff that work tirelessly to give our children the best opportunities we can offer.  I also hope that I inspire people too because, in my opinion, it is inspiration that makes the difference.”
