The Ferns Primary Academy carried out a parent questionnaire at a parents evening in March 2019, with excellent results. Responses from parents were received representing all year groups, with 122 surveys being completed in total.

Over 98% of parents who responded said their child felt safe at school, was being taught well and making good progress. Over 99% of respondents felt that staff were approachable and professional, that the school promoted internet safety, and that the school helps their child to develop skills in communication, reading, writing and mathematics.

Over 92% of parents who responded agreed that the school met their child’s needs, lessons were not disrupted by bad behaviour and that bullying was dealt with effectively. Over 95% agreed that they were helped to support their child’s learning, that the school responded well to their concerns, and kept them well informed. Almost 97% of respondents would recommend the school to other parents.

Many very positive comments were received, with numerous parents commenting on how happy they were with their child’s progress, with over 99% of parents agreeing that their child is proud to be a Fern.
